Hopefully you had a great Thanksgiving, overflowing with great food, great people, and great memories!
Now that we’re all stuffed with turkey, potatoes, and pumpkin pie, we’re coming down the “holiday home stretch” – Christmas season.
This is, more than any others, the one month of the year when we do a lot of extra stuff. Shopping, caroling, attending Christmas programs, visiting friends & family more often, putting up Christmas trees, and so, so much more.
Given all the hustle and bustle, there’s one thing you can pretty much count on: increased holiday stress!
And when you’re under the weight of that holiday stress, there’s one thing that frequently gets neglected in the chaos – meal planning. Well, other than that one meal later in December, but we’ll talk about that later!
My advice? Take a minute in the next few days and “plan to not have a plan”.
Find a few frozen pizzas (or another acceptable dinner option that doesn’t require more work than “insert into oven & bake”) and toss them in the freezer now, before the chaos hits. Then when life goes off the rails, all you have to do is come home, pop dinner in the oven, and relax.
It’ll save you some money, it’ll save you time, it’ll save you a ton of stress, it’ll cut down the number of dishes you have to wash, and it’ll free your mind up to enjoy all the other whimsy & wonder that’s going to be clamoring for your attention this coming month.
And speaking of this coming month, I have several topics planned to cover, but I’d love to hear from you. What clutter challenges do you face this time of the year? Time? Stuff? Attention? Head over to the Facebook group and let me know!
